We are now seeking a Business Development Manager to drive our Melbourne operations in partnership with our NSW office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on construction professional with a passion for the industry and a deep understanding of what it takes to grow and sustain a successful business.
What we are looking for: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our Melbourne operations. This individual will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and working closely with our team in NSW to ensure seamless project delivery.
You will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in business development within the construction or related industries, and a proven ability to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities: Create and implement tailored plans for Infinity to acquire new clients, setting clear sales targets and performance metrics to generate opportunities. Assist in the formulation of the marketing strategy and develop and implement a marketing plan. Ability to establish long-term relationships with potential clients through regular communication, meetings, and personalised solutions to foster repeat business. Lead contract negotiations to ensure favourable terms, clarity, and long-term business commitments. Track leads, opportunities, and progress from initial contact to deal closure, prioritizing high-value and strategic opportunities. Oversee the creation of tailored proposals and tenders that address client needs, ensuring competitive and technically sound submissions. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction post-project, fostering ongoing relationships and identifying future business opportunities. Design, develop and maintain a client management database and contribute to client retention strategies. Requirements: Minimum 8 years experience and proven track record in the construction industry with a deep understanding of construction processes, project management, and operations. Experience in full project life cycles from business development to final delivery including sales contracts and documenting. Established relationships with key players in the Melbourne construction industry (clients, architects, developers, etc.) and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics. A genuine enthusiasm for construction, with a desire to help Infinity expand while maintaining its core values of quality and client satisfaction. Experience in a business development, sales, or similar role, with a strong focus on driving growth and expanding client relationships. Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and drive results with minimal supervision.
