Business Development Manager (Data Services)Flexible location: Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne Short Summary: Data Management Services (DMS) is a new division of Magentus, with an emerging suite of innovative services based on rich sources of healthcare data. Reporting to the Head of Data Management Services, this role will actively contribute to the continual growth of DMS through building market position and identifying opportunities aligned with the increasing capabilities and offerings of DMS.
With the support of the Head of DMS, the role will proactively manage the process of identifying new leads, initiating contact, delivering proposals, and negotiating contracts through to completion. Working closely with other members of the Magentus team and its partners, the role will maintain a network of potential DMS clients and build a pipeline of potential deals, aimed at creating a sustainable revenue stream for DMS.
What about the role: Maintaining a detailed working knowledge of DMS offerings, value propositions, and deal structures as they evolve, and contributing to the development and positioning of new services.Building and maintaining a professional network amongst potential clients.Researching client industry trends, issues, events, and announcements to identify opportunities and proactively approach potential new sales leads.Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, financials, and evaluating options, resolving internal priorities and recommending solutions.Locating and pitching products and services to net new opportunities and discovering and exploring opportunities with clients.Providing client proposals for the delivery of solutions, overcoming objections to win deals, negotiating key commercial terms, and proactively driving contract execution.Maintaining strong revenue growth and working closely with other teams within the group to develop new business.What experience or qualifications do I need: 5+ years hands-on proven work experience as a Business Development Manager or similar.Demonstrated commercial acumen with a solutions-based approach to selling.Knowledge of healthcare data related products, services, and regulations is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of life sciences and the health industry is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience with the proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.Not confident that you have everything listed above?
