Business Development Associate - BNP Paribas Position PurposeThe role of Business Development Associate is to provide support to the BNP Paribas Asset Management institutional and wholesale distribution teams in Australia.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Planning and Sales Strategyo Assist with the development of account plans for selected clients and prospectso Assist with the development of sales strategy for nominated market segmentso Monitor and report on the execution of account plans and sales strategyo Conduct market and competitor research and analysisClient and Prospect Engagement o Engage with clients and prospects in order to support strengthen existing relationshipso Identify lead generation opportunities from existing clients and prospectso Assist Business Development Managers with arranging and booking meetingso Provide follow up information to clients and prospects from engagementso Prepare presentations and briefing notes for fund manager meetingsManagement Reporting (Salesforce, Tableau and Stoneshot)o Responsible for the management and quality of the Salesforce databaseo Generate sales dashboard reporting and update sales pipelineso Prepare sales team meeting presentations and maintain action logso Create call reports and maintain action logso Manage distribution lists for client reporting, content engagement and eventso Produce management presentations for internal stakeholdersDistribution Team Supporto Collaborate with the marketing team on events and fund manager roadshowso Maintain gift and invitations registers and reconciliations, create expense claims and conduct client screening in line with internal compliance requirementso Back up for domestic and international travel bookingsCompetencies (Technical / Behavioral)• Hard working and conscientious.• Strong attention to detail.• Well-honed communication skills.• Good interpersonal skills, collaborative and a strong team player.• Knowledge of and an interest in investment marketsSpecific Qualifications Required• At least two years' experience in a similar role at a fund manager or financial services firm• Minimum of a University degree in Business or Finance• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.• Willingness to work flexible hours and manage time effectively.
