Job Description About the Opportunity The Griffith University Service Management Program is focused on delivering an easy to access, easy to use service experience for students and staff, through a consistent, efficient, and effective service delivery model.
This multi-year program is delivering an enterprise approach, including the new Now Assist (Generative AI offerings), and three, interdependent streams: Service transition – business and technical requirements to transition to new ways of working and the new service management system Service information transition – online service information reviewed for currency and mapped to future staff and student information architecture Knowledge transition – knowledge reviewed for currency and transitioned to new The Business Analyst will work together with the Delivery Lead, Change Managers, senior leaders, colleagues, and Transformation Office, to deliver on the objectives of the Service Management Program Plan.
This position is accountable for supporting the analysis of business practices, services, governance, data, and information, advising on and administering system functionality.
The occupant will support the documentation of business requirements, writing of test scripts, support with testing and defect resolution, and perform basic development tasks to deliver improvements or transform ways of working.
This position will report through to the Senior Business Analyst, Service Management Program.
Key Responsibilities Investigate business requirements and documents business processes, to support the transition between systems and new ways of working.
This includes writing test scripts, supporting testing, undertaking basic defect resolution tasks, and related quality assurance processes.
Plan and deliver activities within projects including scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities, and reviewing business requirements against system functionality.
Undertake user experience analysis, identifying the roles and objectives of various users and stakeholder groups, defining the required behaviour and performance of the system, products and services to meet their needs, and advising on technical solutions, modules, capabilities, and configuration options.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define required behaviour and performance of the system, product or service in terms of the total user experience, resolving potential conflicts between differing user requirements.
Specifies usability and accessibility measures for the required system, products and services.
Facilitate open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a point of contact in support of program stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
Support compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures, including equity and health & safety and exhibit good practice in relation to same.
Be a leading example of the principles and values embodied in the University's Code of Conduct, and behave, act and communicate at all times to reflect fairness, ethics and professionalism.
About you ServiceNow Business Analysis experience and related accreditations highly desirable Exception interpersonal skills and the ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications for ServiceNow configurations.
Experience in writing test scripts, supporting testing, defect resolution and related quality assurance processes and supporting go-live transitions.
ServiceNow experience is highly regarded.
Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in Business Analysis.
What we can offer This is a full time, fixed term opportunity until 30/6/2025 based at the Griffith University Nathan campus.
HEW 8 Salary - $108,764.25 - $122,356.68 + 17% super.
