Building Designer

Providing integrated design services across a diverse range of projects in commercial, industrial, emergency services and corporate roll outs; this building design firm promotes practical and sustainable advice through all stages of the project. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise from feasibility and concept through to construction and handover they provide a detailed and collaborative approach to their client's vision, hold strong industry relationships and maintain success through repeat business.

They are now seeking an experienced and versatile Building Designer who can deliver projects from concept, documentation and through to hand over. You will be joining a self-driven and down to earth culture where using initiative and integrity are promoted under the leadership of a highly respected Director who leads from the front with a grounded approach.

You Will Be Responsible For

Liaising directly with clients to obtain briefing and manage expectationsPrepare concept and development application plansProject management and detailed design documentationRunning meetings & manage consulting engineers, agreeing on and monitoring deliveryQuality control of internal and external documentationTender management, contract administration & superintendencyKeeping abreast of regulatory changes and council requirementsRemaining versatile in your approach

To be considered you will hold formal qualifications in Architecture and/or Building Design, and have well demonstrated experience in managing design documentation and delivery of projects with a strong emphasis on deadlines.

As a quiet leader and a natural problem solver, you will understand the importance of attention to detail, and have strong interpersonal skills to ensure a close working relationship with all related stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve the best end result for all. Sound, up to date knowledge of REVIT is mandatory and architectural registration is highly desirable.
