The Broker Support Officer is a key role in the broker channel with an overall purpose to grow lending and associated product portfolio through mortgage brokers nationally. The officer will be responsible for processing and managing broker introduced applications starting from application received until post settlement. Maintaining speed to decision (SLA's) and communicating to brokers on each stage of an application is a key task of this role.
To be successful, the Broker Support Officer will undertake activities that result in the achievement of performance targets across a variety of measures including member focus, referring, or completing cross Product opportunities and monitoring broker submissions to ensure they meet compliance requirements.
Your Role:Process and manage broker home loan applicationsManage high pipeline volumes in a fast-paced environmentManage SLAsManage broker and member expectations and application speed to decisionMaintain co-operation of other Australian Military Bank staff (e.g. Credit, Settlements, Digital Sales, Retail Distribution, and IT) to support the Intermediary ChannelConsistent communication with brokers with outstanding and other requirements requested by creditCommunicate to internal stakeholders such as credit and settlement team to ensure all applications are processed within agreed timeframeRefer and/or complete cross-sell opportunitiesEnsure credit quality meets our standardsComplete Aggregator and Broker compliance reviewAbout YouTo be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:
Technical SkillsUnderstanding a range of diverse products, processes, and corresponding regulatory requirementsPrevious knowledge working with brokers/aggregators – preferred not essentialUnderstanding of Mortgage Broker industryKnowledge of Australian Military Bank's products, processes and systemsVerbal, numerical, literacy skillsComputer skills (including email, internet, Microsoft applications)Previous ExperienceCustomer service and sales experienceAt least 2 years in a similar mortgage processing role - preferredFinancial Services experience (desirable)Retail Banking sales/service experience (preferred in third party banking)Education and QualificationsEssentialYear 12 or equivalentTier 2 accreditationCert IV in Credit ManagementDesirableDiploma/Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage BrokingLending accreditationBenefitsWorking with Australian Military Bank will provide you access to a great range of benefits including:
