Job Title: Branch Support Officer (Part-time)Department: Strategic Policy and Programs BranchDetails: The Strategic Policy and Programs Branch has an important and unique role working across the Justice and Community Safety Directorate and ACT Government to support the Director General and Deputy Director General, Community Safety on identified priority projects and managing strategic relationships in the community safety space.
The Branch provides policy and program design in collaboration with business units on identified priority issues, on a project basis.The Branch has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Branch Support Officer at the ASO6 level.
This is a diverse and interesting role as part of a small high functioning Branch, who work collaboratively to deliver a diverse program of work.Responsibilities:Manage the administrative operations of the branch and provide governance and executive support to ensure the Branch achieves its strategic and operational objectives.Coordinate planning, tracking and reporting processes, and manage team calendars and shared communication channels.Provide high-level secretariat support for multiple executive forums, including organizing meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating papers, taking minutes, collating required documentation, and tracking action items across multiple forums.Qualifications: To be successful in the role you will need to be highly organised, have sound stakeholder management, communication and administrative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team.Eligibility/Other Requirements: The occupant of this role will be required to undergo a Police Check.Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
This is a part-time role, between 20 and 30 hours a week.
Hours and days can be negotiated.
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements will be considered.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
