Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.
Responsibilities:Preparation of BAS, IAS, including bank reconciliations and journal preparationMonthly reconciling of clients XERO, MYOB and QuickBooks online files, including reconciliation of balance sheet accountsDext / Hubdoc management for various clientsEnd to end payroll, including filing of STP and year end finalisationsMonitoring and assisting with monthly superannuation complianceSGC audit reconciliations and preparation of statementsMonitoring and assisting with monthly superannuation complianceMonthly payroll tax returns, where requiredTPAR preparation and lodgementsDemonstrated ability to change / improve processes to benefit the businessLiaising with clients and assisting with queriesRequirements and skills:Excellent interpersonal skills, a team approach and very high client service standards are essential.5 to 8 years minimum, prior experience as a bookkeeper for small to medium business, preferably within an accounting firm backgroundExtensive experience with XERO, MYOB, QuickBooks and other add ons and payrollExcellent time management and organisational skillsThe ability to work with minimum supervisionStrong attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsReliable, responsible, polite, professional, dedicated, and diligentWell-presented and confidentAvailable to start immediatelyTerms and conditions:Ideally 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, although 30+ hours would be considered, working on site in our offices located in Keswick SAWorking 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.45a.m. – 5.00p.mIf you are the perfect person for this position, please forward your application addressed to the Practice Manager to .
