Are you an experienced Welder or Boilermaker looking to expand your skills? This role will see you working at Garden Island Defence Precinct ensuring naval and commercial ships are repaired and serviced to meet the quality and safety standards required.
The Role
Your role will involve the following, but not limited to;
Welding and Boiler fabrication
Read and interpret shop drawings
GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding process
Weld all types of metal, ferrous and nonferrous
Working in confined spaces and on elevated work platform equipment
Essential Experience & Qualifications
You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
To be successful for the role you will have:
Trade certificate in Fabrication / Engineering
Working at Heights ticket
Induction for Construction Work / White Card
Enter and Work Confined Spaces ticket
Desirable Experience and licenses
MIG & TIG welding experience
Heavy Engineering experience (Desirable)
