The SAFVC was established in 1978 and following a merger in 2016, it has grown into a highly professional service offering a wide range of free and confidential services for those who have experienced sexual assault or family violence.The SAFVC is underpinned by feminist philosophy, with a vision for a community free from sexual assault and family violence, and a society guided by gender equality, social justice, and human rights.The Board of SAFVC is seeking to fill 4 Non-Executive Director positions with candidates who bring a diversity of demonstrated experience across the following areas:Corporate governance and executive-level leadershipStrategic risk management and auditFinancial management (ideally with CPA qualifications)Compliance and legal obligations (ideally with legal qualifications)Public relations and stakeholder engagementAn understanding of for-purpose organisational governance requirementsAs a Board Director, you will provide strategic leadership, hold a visionary mindset, and apply business acumen through an understanding of sound governance principles. A genuine desire to commit your time and capabilities to enhance the impact of SAFVC's work in the communities they support is essential.
