Position Profile (00604161): A Clinical Engineer is required to join the team responsible for the repair and maintenance of medical technology used in hospital practice. Responsibilities are varied and will include database management, initiating and managing service contracts, as well as providing clinical engineering support to the Technical Services Division of the Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU), supporting sites across EMHS and SMHS.
Applicants require a Bachelor's Degree specialising in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics or a similar relevant discipline. Prior experience in the provision of Clinical Engineering services or knowledge of medical equipment is desirable but not essential; however, the applicant must demonstrate a keen interest in the management of medical technology and be able to demonstrate an ability to work within a team. Good problem-solving skills and high-level written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Position Profile (00604164): A Biomedical Engineer position is available to join the Community and Virtual Care Innovation (CVC) Directorate to provide and execute specialised professional technical support in relation to advanced technologies, medical equipment and integrated clinical information systems for virtual care within current Health in a Virtual Environment (HIVE) core technologies and future CVC initiatives across EMHS. Currently, there are a range of projects being delivered focusing on contemporary virtual models of care across hospital and community environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CVC project team, clinicians, and internal and external stakeholders to set up, pilot testing, and implement solutions and technologies required to deliver the model of care, and expand the capability of digital health in EMHS.
Applicants require a bachelor's degree specialising in Biomedical Engineering or a similar relevant discipline, preferably with prior experience or knowledge in medical equipment with ICT technologies systems, a high level of problem-solving skill, and a good team player with good work organisation and prioritisation skills.
