As the Bar Manager for the Coast Beach Bar and Kitchen , you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the financial success of this vibrant beach-side venue.
This is a full-time role based in Surfers Paradise, QLD 4217 .
What you'll be doing
Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Lead and mentor a team of bartenders, ensuring they provide outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of beverage preparation.
Develop and implement creative cocktail menus, maintaining profitability and aligning with the venue's overall concept.
Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing and workplace health and safety regulations.
Analyse sales data and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting the professional development of the bar team.
Manage our existing 2 goblet awarded 250 bottles wine list.
Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing on stock items.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Bar/Beverage Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Minimum WSET Lvl 1 qualification with the intention to further your wine knowledge and skills.
Exceptional customer service skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality bar experiences.
Strong financial management and inventory control skills, with the ability to analyse data and implement effective cost-saving measures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
Thorough understanding of liquor licensing regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
Creativity and a passion for developing innovative cocktail menus and beverage offerings.
