Miami Marketta is a dynamic and multifaceted events space, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse range of activities. With several events operating simultaneously, including live music gigs, art exhibitions, and food markets, Miami Marketta offers a unique cultural experience.
We are seeking experienced Bar/Beverage Managers who are adaptable, quick-thinking, and culturally sensitive to join our team and help us maintain our reputation as a premier event destination. There are two roles within the company: the first position is Bar Manager for The Gin Parlour, where extensive knowledge of cocktails and gin is essential as you will be leading the bar, guiding staff training, and creating menus. The second position is for the management of the main bar, with responsibility for a large team, general ordering, and inventory and stocktake for all venue bars.
Key Responsibilities of both positions:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning during multiple simultaneous events. Manage all aspects of the bar, including inventory, ordering, and staff scheduling. Maintain an extensive knowledge of beverages, with a particular emphasis on champagne, gin, tequila, and wine. Ensure high standards of customer service and address any issues or complaints promptly and effectively. Work closely with event coordinators to ensure seamless execution of events. Train and mentor bar staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines. Handle financial aspects of the bar, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Adapt to changing circumstances and be prepared to pivot as needed to meet the demands of a dynamic event space. Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial position within the hospitality or events industry. Extensive knowledge of beverages, particularly champagne, gin, tequila, and wine. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think on your feet. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules. What We Offer:
