Azure Product Managers lead the business strategy in their area for the Australian subsidiary and are accountable for growth across revenue, adoption, and market share. The PM is responsible for building and driving the core business strategy including; understanding customer needs, growth levers, partner ecosystem, and relevant integrated marketing strategies that drive results. They love influencing teams to drive maximum impact and as such can pull together various stakeholders to inspect and accelerate the business.

This individual will have a strong understanding of AI, Machine Learning, and data-driven application patterns, including IoT (across the high-level value proposition down to the mid-technical level) and will have a passion driving impactful customer scenarios and growth strategies. The individual will be the voice of AI, IoT, and data-driven applications within Azure for Australia and will represent Microsoft in front of partners and customers and at key events. They must be able to articulate the local application technology landscape and develop product differentiation by leveraging corporate and local research, partner insights, and customer feedback.

Business Management (30%)

- Lead the business plays to drive revenue and consumption
- Create marketing & business plan, including campaign/program business plan, partner strategy, and campaign investment decisions for campaigns and activities
- Influence the creation of marketing plans and campaign investment decisions that accrue to your core strategy.
- Provide product-related content like customer benefits, competitive differentiators, and value of the product roadmap to all subsidiary marketing activities, including those owned by Segment marketing, Audience marketing, and other subsidiaries
- Conduct marketplace environmental and competitive analyses from competitive intelligence and Sales Excellence input from Competitive Discovery
- Identify strategic market-maker partners and influence joint go-to-market plans where relevant

Orchestration (30%)

- Drive orchestration to deliver on scorecard metrics related to the Rhythm of the Business (ROB) and lead Correction of Errors plans with the segments
- Drive strategy for product marketing-owned campaigns and activities, partner with segment/channel teams to prioritize investment decisions.
- Determine a common set of KPIs for marketing activities in collaboration with other teams involved (e.g. segment marketing, audience marketing, other BGs)
- Conduct reviews across C+E business pillars to support the Business Group Leader in C+E value prop

Product Evangelism (40%)

- Maintain product knowledge and evangelise the product internally and externally to Press, enthusiasts, influencers, pre-sales customer scenarios—represent Microsoft at first- and third-party events
- Plan and execute activities that promotes Cloud and Enterprise (C+E) products and feature releases; lead product launch activities/releases
- Influence and support marketing teams on customer journeys, messaging, call to actions, and activities (events, webinars, etc) that drive impact for your business strategy
- Contribute to partner readiness, activation and product evangelism delivery/business development
- Act as the voice of the field by ensuring timely updates/feedback to Corporate on product marketing and campaign execution in subsidiary
- Work closely with segments to develop customer evidence
