About this role
Grant Thornton is looking for an Audit Senior Associate to join our Perth team.
You will use Grant Thornton's proprietary global audit methodology, the latest technology to drive an efficient and effective audit process which will enable you to gain a wide range of assurance exposure.
Key responsibilities Independent statutory audit of the financial reports of a wide variety of entities including public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations and other not-for-profit entities and government bodies Preparation of complete and accurate audit work papers Identifying and reporting on client financial risks Using your analytical skills to analyse clients' financial statements and ensure they adhere to statutory requirements Research of difficult technical issues and application of issues to clients' circumstances Skills and experience Experience in a similar Audit & Assurance environment ideally with a sound knowledge of IFRS Relevant bachelor's degree (e.g. in accounting, finance, or economics) or suitable professional qualification or relevant overseas qualification Strong written and spoken communication skills gained within an internal client-facing environment, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated high level of discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters Easily adapts to new systems and technologies Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel and Word)

The salary range for this role is $97K to $107K AUD per annum inclusive of superannuation.
