Eligible for discretionary bonuses and increases in salary;Paid vacation/sick leave, Continuing Education (CE) allowance, VIN membership, annual licenses paid;Eligible for RRSP matching;Eligible for Medical and Dental and Vision coverage (after three-month probationary period);Access to network of over 1000 veterinarians;Malpractice insurance;Eligible for signing bonus and relocation bonus;Eligible for production pay (if/when practicing pursuant to a full license from the NSVMA)Wellness program

Salary: $97,073.60 CAD per annum if eligible for a restricted license from the Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association (NSVMA).
$120,000 CAD/year if or once eligible for a full license to practice veterinary medicine from the NSVMA.


Perform Veterinary surgery in routine and emergency casesResponsible for patient records managementPost-operative observationAccurate client billingParticipate in continuing education mattersExamine animals and diagnose problems or diseases through physical examinations or laboratory testsDiagnose and prescribe medication to sick or injured animalsConsult with pet owners about preventive healthcare; and carry out medical and surgical procedures, such as vaccinations, dental work, and fracturesConsult clients on hygiene and general care of their pets.Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetricsand euthanasiaOffer general wellness and vaccinations, nutrition, and weight management programsMay enforce government regulations in disease control and food productionKeep up with the flow of the clinic and meeting expected appointment timesExpected to attend monthly DVM and all other team meetings, and contribute ideas and feedback at the meetings that will help with the health of the clinic and patientsRequirements: 4-5 year university degree in veterinary medicine (as well as any required pre-veterinary studies for the university program, if applicable)Completion of national certification examinations or equivalent are required.Provincial Licensing in Nova Scotia is required or ability to obtainPassion for what you do every day!
