NoOffer Description Academic Level D or E, Permanent full-time position in a central Hawthorn location.Prime opportunity to support the Department of Management & Marketing.Flexible working arrangements and hybrid way of working.About the RoleThe Associate Professor or Professor position entails fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, as well as advancing cross-disciplinary programs in Management within the school and university. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating relationships with key external stakeholders in various industries and public institutions. As a leader in their field, the appointee will engage in public and institutional activities to enhance the Universitys research strengths in alignment with its strategic plan, collaborating with Swinburne researchers. Proactively seeking opportunities, the individual will be expected to engage in activities that strengthen existing connections with government, business, communities, and professions both nationally and internationally. The role requires maintaining a significant publication record at an international level and securing research funding at a national level. Teaching responsibilities include preparing and delivering classes, assessing students in the Management discipline on campus and online, and contributing to the mentorship of early career researchers and supervision of higher degree candidates.For more information on the roles, please see the Position Descriptions at the bottom of the page.About YouTo be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:Demonstration of a significant track record in attracting and managing external research income through competitive grants and/or industry collaboration.A track record of successful supervision of higher research degree candidates, particularly supervision to completion.Demonstration of a significant track record in postgraduate course leadership.Demonstrated ability to undertake teaching, associated administrative duties, management and curriculum development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Demonstrated links with relevant industries, organisations, and research communities.QualificationsAn earned PhD in Management or in a relevant discipline or a related fieldA teaching qualificationMembership of an appropriate professional bodyAbout Swinburne University of TechnologySwinburne Horizon 2025 draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
