You will work in a variety of health service settings, utilising your experience and further study to guide and develop less experienced staff while maintaining your own high standards of practice. This is an exciting opportunity to take on increased responsibility, collaborating with your team to promote consistency and continuity of care for patients.
In this role, you will support the NUM with a range of management responsibilities, including performance management, staffing, rostering, and leave management. You will also be involved in financial and supplies planning and monitoring, ensuring efficient operations within the unit. Your contribution will be vital in implementing practice changes and driving service improvement, as you work alongside other ANUMs to achieve shared goals. Key Requirements: Registered Nurse/Midwife: Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and lead within a multidisciplinary team.Experience in Supervision: Skilled in supervising and mentoring student nurses and less experienced staff.Knowledge of Healthcare Standards: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, quality improvement systems, and the role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.About CALHN The Central Adelaide Local Health Network includes South's Australia's major quaternary facility, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct.
