In this role, you will deliver assigned services effectively and support the broader Cost Management team to meet client expectations within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Accurately forecast and assess project costs, timelines, quality, and constructability.Utilise construction techniques and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare bills of quantities.Handle estimating, variations, take-offs, and cost proposals.Prepare forecast cash flows and provide procurement advice to clients.Actively participate in value management and risk workshops.Here's what you'll needRelevant tertiary degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, with an understanding of construction methodologies for highways, bridges, and tunnels.Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise, manage, and communicate workloads effectively.Keen attention to detail and a desire to learn and develop technical skills in cost management services.Collaborative mindset, understanding client needs and goals, and working as part of a team to achieve them.Proficiency in first principle estimating for infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges, traffic management, and mass haul movement of earthwork.Understanding of constructability and staging issues in civil projects.Knowledge of local (Australian) plants and machinery, material use in civil projects, and productivity factors.Experience with software such as Expert Estimating, Cost X, and MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint.Jacobs.
