North Projects is a specialist advisor and consultancy to property, construction, and development projects nationally. We deliver successful project outcomes by managing cost, scope, risk, design, feasibility, and programme. Our clients include State governments, local councils, company boards, financiers, developers, builders, governments, PPP Sponsors and tertiary education providers.The opportunityReporting to the QLD Rail Director, you will become part of the leadership cohort within our business, developing and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors and Estimators throughout their professional journey. You will be responsible for the development and operational performance of our rail services and capability, including client & revenue development and growth. You will develop detailed cost estimates, risk assessments whilst commissioning and managing prominent rail projects across Queensland and Australia.About youTo be successful in this role you will need to:Have a tertiary qualification (or relevant experience)Have extensive, previous rail sector experience ideally with client side and contractor backgroundSound understanding of Rail InfrastructureHave previous, demonstrated experience managing cost planning/estimating scope of work, deliverables, risk and opportunity assessments, cash flows and reporting requirementsHigh standard of cost and risk report writingHave the capability to develop cost plans, first principle estimates for direct and indirect costsHave a desire and interest in leading and mentoring team members throughout their careerBe a confident communicator with clients and stakeholders with strong interpersonal skillsManage multiple priorities and your time effectivelyWhy NorthWe are a medium sized consultancy that has a passion for what we do!
