Associate, Construction Disputes & Advisory (Quantum) Ankura is a team of excellence founded on innovation and growth.

The position of Associate sits within our Quantum team which supports the Ankura Construction Disputes & Advisory practice - one of seven practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm.

We are looking for a 'rising star' to complement our talented team of quantum experts. This is a key role, operating in a fast-paced culture, and will suit a candidate with the ambition and desire to grow and develop into an independent expert, whilst we provide the opportunity and training to support you in that endeavour, including excellent networking opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to work with highly reputable, specialist expert witnesses, recognised by Who's Who Legal. You will be part of a talented team of experts working on some of the world's most interesting and significant disputes.

Our quantum experts are primarily involved in dispute resolution, litigation support and expert witness testimony, cost, and damages analysis, claims assessment, schedule analysis, technical issue analysis and account evaluation services. You will be required to perform advanced data research, management, and analysis. This role will involve frequent client interaction, including preparing results.

The international nature of our work means that successful candidates should be prepared to travel globally, sometimes at short notice. You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience by working on complex and landmark projects in the construction and engineering sector all over the globe.

Responsibilities: Assist in preparation / assessment of claims in respect of variations, extension of time, disruption, acceleration and prolongation. Assist in preparation of Expert reports in respect of variations, extension of time, disruption, acceleration and prolongation. Good interpersonal skills (specifically the ability to quickly integrate and work within a team). Delivering tasks within specified time frames. Requirements: Possess a relevant construction related technical degree. Membership (or already working towards membership) of RICS or similar. Demonstrable interest in construction law. Experience of contract administration and contract management (ideally from a main contractor's perspective). Proven ability to prepare/assess contractual claims. Experience across a range of construction/engineering projects. Good analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic consultancy environment.
