The Role
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall efficient and effective management and operation of the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is to maintain complete knowledge of GYG menu items, ingredient and procedures at all times in order to proactively and promptly deliver the highest level of customer experience.
This role will suit an individual that is passionate about hospitality and management and is motivated to promote GYG's values and display energy and enthusiasm for the unique brand.

Key areas of responsibility
Assist with leading both the restaurants operations as well as crew on shift
Support the Restaurant Manager in the general running of the restaurant
Proactively elevate the customer experience from excellent to remarkable
Ensure the consistent training and coaching of crew
Assist with inventory and financial management
To be successful in this role, you should have/be:
Vibrant, enthusiastic and cheerful personality
Passion for food, quality and making the customers love us
Great leadership and communication skills with people from different cultural backgrounds
Collaborative attitude, adaptability and the drive to always go a step closer to perfection
Proven experience in a supervisory/management role in the QSR/restaurant/hospitality industry
Completed (or willingness to undertake) Food Safety Supervisor course
Completed (or willingness to undertake) Responsible Service of Alcohol course
Good command of spoken and written English
Understanding of written operation and financial reports
High level people management and conflict resolution skills
Possess a good understanding of food safety concepts
Ability to personally execute cooking tasks and food preparation procedures
Willingness and ability to undertake one shift per months in leading kitchen position
Strong computer/IT acumen including the ability to use Microsoft Office software
