The Assistant Production Manager will report directly to the Production Manager. They will be responsible for managing the production activities to drive safety, further build an empowered team culture, facilitate optimal process efficiencies, and deliver on production requirements in line with quality standards to ensure a high level of customer service as per the values of Alsco Uniforms.
Working with team leaders, to ensure that staff are performing at the required efficiency and quality level to meet the needs of customers. Full people management responsibilities for the Production team including recruitment, induction, ongoing coaching/training and pro-active performance feedback to ensure that all team members are working at the required standard. Create healthy and motivated work environment within the team. Key skills and experience required:
18 months to 2 years of proven experience in people management, including leading 30+ people, is essential. Experience in manufacturing or factory environment is required. Exposure to 5S, LEAN or HACCP Principles is desired. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete pre-employment screening which includes reference checking and health screening that involves drug and alcohol testing. Proof of Your Right to Live and Work in Australia must be presented at interview stage.
