About the role
TAFE SA is looking for an accomplished Assistant Manager for School Pathways to join the Student Experience Directorate in this newly created role. With a primary focus on stakeholder engagement, this position is essential in establishing and expanding pathways for VETRO students, aligning TAFE SA's services with current and future educational needs. The ideal candidate will combine business development expertise with a commitment to process improvement to elevate our VET pathways offerings for Secondary Schools.
Key Responsibilities Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to promote and expand VETRO pathways, ensuring strategic alignment with TAFE SA's mission and goals. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes across the VET pathways lifecycle, focusing on application, onboarding, enrolment, and academic progress. Act as a key contact for resolving complex issues in service delivery, providing strategic insights and support for continuous service enhancement. Utilize strong business development skills to identify and implement new opportunities within the VETRO framework. Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and business cases for executives, offering expert guidance on key service initiatives and improvements. The Successful Candidate Must Have: Proven experience in business development and stakeholder engagement, ideally within an educational or vocational training environment. Strong background in operational and strategic process improvement, with a focus on delivering streamlined, high-quality services. Deep knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and familiarity with relevant quality standards and policy frameworks. Demonstrated ability to handle complex information and provide high-level, strategic recommendations to stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong capacity for teamwork, negotiation, and report writing. A proactive, independent work ethic, adept at managing priorities and driving positive change in service delivery. Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Some out of hour's work may be required during peak periods in line with business needs. The incumbent may need to travel to an alternative location when required. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. Application Instructions
