Our programs cater to young people, senior secondary school students in Years 9 to 12, the general community, third age learners, and adults with disabilities in supported employment, training, and lifestyle activities.Indie Education is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Finance team located at either our Mirrabooka or Ellenbrook campus in Western Australia.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to progress their career in a growing not-for-profit organisation, with opportunities for future promotion. The role will report to the Executive Manager Finance and be responsible for assisting with the management of all financial and accounting matters across the company.Responsibilities:Prepare financial reports including monthly statements and cash flow forecasts.Preparation and analysis of regular budgets including actual to variance.Provide advice to Executive Managers, Heads of Schools, and Regional Managers on financial matters.Process and maintain supporting accounting programs including Prophix, ExpenseMe Pro, and MRI LeaseEagle/ProLease Express.Provide advice to the Executive Manager Finance and CEO on financial and legal aspects affecting Indie Education's financial performance.Manage all Indie Education financial administration documentation.Oversee team members as directed.Skills and Experience:Minimum 4 years' experience in business management/accounting.Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or equivalent essential.Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and/or CPA Australia (desirable).Experience in managing staff to achieve successful outcomes.Demonstrated ability to work with executive staff, providing high-level strategic advice and communicating complex information to diverse stakeholders.Experience in managing payroll functions, including advising on HR matters.Proven track record in State duties, insurances, FBT, and/or fleet management.High-level organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience working at a school (advantageous but not essential).Requirements:Current Australian Drivers LicenceAnnual National Police CheckWorking with Children's CheckRemuneration:A company laptop and phone are provided with this position.Salary packaging through Maxxia.To Apply:All applicants must submit a Cover Letter (no more than 2 pages) via Seek addressing the responsibilities for this role, along with a Resume.If you have any questions regarding the role, please email ****** will close on 25th November, 2024.
