Supportive Workplace: You'll be valued and empowered, working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, including 24/7 RN support.Rewarding Career: Make a real difference in the lives of our residents, fostering their well-being and creating a warm, enriching atmosphere.Location: Close to public transport and Chatswood shopping centre.About the role: Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility.Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of dignity and respect.Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to registered nurses.Assist with mealtimes, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.Participate in resident care planning meetings and follow individualized care plans.Document care provided in residents' charts accurately and efficiently.Participate in activities and social programs, fostering a sense of community.Maintain a positive and professional attitude, building rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate: A genuine desire to work with seniors and improve their quality of life.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families.Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.Reliability and a commitment to high standards of care.A current AIN qualification (Certificate IV in ageing and individual support).Full Working Rights in Australia.Current Police Check.Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.More about Columbia Aged Care: Columbia values best practice and high service standards to deliver resident-centered care through Care in everything we do, Comfort in the environment we create that ensures quality of life, Consideration in the open supportive way we act to both Residents and colleagues.
