Adelaide SA, Brisbane QLD, Canberra ACT, Darwin NT, Hobart TAS, Melbourne VIC, Perth WA, Sydney NSW The Quality Assessment and Monitoring Group (QAMG) is responsible for quality assessment and monitoring of provider's performance against the Aged Care Quality Standards and other provider obligations including Quality of Care Principles, accreditation and reaccreditation audits of residential aged care services and quality audits of home services.The Quality Assurance and Capability (QAC) team is led by a Director with team functions including leading quality assurance activities within the group, workforce capability initiatives including registration and complaints, and data systems and reporting. The key duties of the position include: Develop and/or coordinate delivery of an annual quality assurance workplan covering various sampling activities within QAMG to ensure business outputs accords with legislative adherence, best practice regulation and embed efficient quality controls in everyday work. Support the group's operational quality assurance function and ensure adherence to the Commission's quality assurance framework. Champion quality assurance in QAMG in leading a team of quality assurance officers to conduct a variety of sampling activities for the purposes of ensuring that QAMG's outputs accords with legislative adherence, validated evidence, reasoning for decisions and professional writing. Early risk detection during quality assurance activities and escalate contentious findings to the Executive Director and Director with remediation options. Coordinate the implementation of endorsed quality assurance recommendations within the group including with the capability team to co-design training products and/or guidance materials. Manage a team of direct reports. Other duties as required. Strategic thinking and analysis to align planned activities with Commission priorities including quality assurance uplift associated with introduction of new aged care legislation. Well-developed analytical abilities in the areas of quality assurance, audit and internal reviews. Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and edit reports. The ability to develop team capability including leading change and in the area of quality assurance and production of reporting. Effective communication and negotiation skills to deliver mutual goals and objectives with various internal staff. An ability to deliver commitments and focus on collaboration to achieve goals in a timely manner. Understand and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, particularly the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act (2018) and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Rules (2018) and the Aged Care Quality Standards or demonstrate the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
