IP Australia is seeking highly motivated candidates with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and strategic awareness to join as Team Leads for multiple roles in our area. These positions perform key roles within ITG to support the Director while leading small teams responsible for ITG program oversight, governance, reporting, and resource allocation and acquisition activities for ICT assets.
Key Positions:Assistant Director, Enabling Services
This position provides oversight of project and business as usual (BAU) delivery across ITG and provides assurance, reporting, and continuous improvements to support technology delivery. It is integral that the position holder can bring together and analyse disparate data sources and information for program oversight, including the production of material on the health of IT delivery according to priorities and deadlines.
Assistant Director, Resource, Asset and Vendor Management
This position performs a key role within ITG, responsible for ICT resourcing and acquisition activities for ICT assets, actively monitoring and reporting on licensing, maintenance support, and ICT Services.
The key duties of the position include:To be successful in this role you must have:
Formal qualifications and extensive experience with technology program and project governance OR contract management and procurement.Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate teams.Extensive knowledge of legislation, regulations and policy in relation to whole of Australian Government contract management; OR subject matter expertise in program/project management, and/or delivery methodologies within a regulated environment.To be successful in this role, it would be great if you had:
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to consider and effectively manage competing priorities and strategic direction when achieving outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives.Strong ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).

NotesThis role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing. A position may be offered as ongoing or non-ongoing subject to operational requirements. Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 18 months. A specified term may be extended up to a maximum period of three years.
At the end of the recruitment process, a merit pool of suitable candidates may be created. Those found suitable will be advised that they have been placed in the pool. The merit pool is valid for 18 months from the date the process was advertised. The merit pool may be used throughout the period to fill similar positions in the event positions become vacant.
