Anglican Health & Welfare is seeking a compassionate, caring, and professional person to provide Chaplaincy services at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
This is a 0.6FTE (3 days / 24 hours per week) position, and the successful candidate will be working as a member of the LGH Chaplaincy service providing pastoral care for patients, visitors, and staff, and support to the Coordinator – LGH Chaplaincy Services.
Excellent remuneration and salary packaging are available.
The LGH Chaplain will be a member of the Allied Health team responding to referrals and providing spiritual care across the hospital.
The LGH Chaplain will also be on a roster for urgent after-hours on-call requests and Sunday afternoon chapel services.
Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrated experience in providing Pastoral Care / ChaplaincyCompletion of or willingness to complete at least 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamWorking with Vulnerable People Registration, Police check, and Identity CheckIntermediate ability to use computersDemonstrated experience or understanding of working within the health-care systemTheological QualificationsBroad awareness or working knowledge of their own and other faith traditionsAnglican Health & Welfare is a child safe organisation.
