We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Commercial Department at the Super Pit mine in Kalgoorlie.
This is a residential role on a 5/2:4/3 Roster, working 9-hour days.
Sitting within the Commercial function, the Assistant Accountant provides support for accounting services and advice to onsite departments, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable compliance obligations.
Key tasks may include, but are not limited to: Assist with month end accounting processes including transaction review, cost review, cost reporting and trend analysis.Prepare bank reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliation, GRNI reconciliation, and manage accounts receivable.Assist with the preparation of site wide budgets and quarterly forecasts, and present information to various stakeholders.Maintain the capital module within Pronto including Work Breakdown Structures and end of month reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register within Pronto.Minimum Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Accounting.Intermediate level computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).Previous experience in a role managing priorities, communicating across multiple levels in an organisation.Must reside locally in the Goldfields.National Police Clearance less than twelve (12) months.Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.Preferred: Previous experience preferably within the Mining Industry.Working experience in the use of Pronto Financials Software, or similar ERP.Discover the perks of working at Northern Star…
