Full-Time Assistant Accountant Opportunity – Leading Private Sector BusinessLocation: GreenacrePotential Growth into Head of Accounting RoleOur client, a highly respected organization in the private sector, is searching for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their finance team full-time. This role offers a clear career path with opportunities for advancement to a Head of Accounting position.Role OverviewThe Assistant Accountant will support the client's financial operations, focusing on accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position requires a proactive professional who can handle confidential information sensitively, ensure compliance with policies, and contribute to strategic financial decisions.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee efficient fee collection processes.Billing and Discounts: Manage billing processes, calculate fees, and apply adjustments.Stakeholder Communication: Professionally engage with clients on outstanding fees and payment plans.Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze aging reports for informed decision-making.Reconciliations and General Ledger: Perform account reconciliations and maintain ledger accuracy.Expense Tracking and Reporting: Monitor expenses and aid in budgeting processes.Accounts Payable Support: Assist with invoice processing and vendor reconciliations.Payroll and Asset Management: Support payroll functions and maintain asset registers.Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to policies and drive financial process improvements.Qualifications and Skills Required:Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with expertise in accounts receivable and financial reporting.Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with financial databases is essential.Qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Desirable Skills: Experience with management systems similar to TASS.Why Join Our Client?This role provides a unique pathway for career growth within a supportive and dynamic environment, offering the potential to advance into a Head of Accounting position.
