You will be tasked with performing daily bank and payment processor reconciliations, monitoring client deposits and withdrawals in multiple currencies, handling invoice payments and staff reimbursements, among other responsibilities. Your ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency will be crucial to your success in this role.
Perform daily bank and payment processor reconciliations, liaise with operation teams to ensure any reconciling items are resolvedMonitor client deposits and withdrawals in multiple currencies and address any queries raised by internal teamsResponsible for invoice payments and staff reimbursementsPerform monthly general ledger reconciliations, take proactive actions to fix any variances with process improvement mindset, follow up with internal teams on aged/clearing items etc.Perform all allocated daily and monthly reporting tasks as assigned in a timely mannerDeal with local and international banks in resolving issues, investigating transactions etc.Assisting with internal and external audit requestsParticipate in ad hoc project work when required What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accountant position is CPA/CA partially qualified with one to two years of accounting experience, preferably within the financial service industry. You should have experience working with ERP systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite. A strong understanding of inward and outward international payments and knowledge of FX transactions is essential. Proficiency in Excel is required along with good problem-solving skills. Your ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities will set you apart.
