Your new role
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance Manager, ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of daily financial transactions.
Ideally, you will have experience in a similar account position, or you will be a recent graduate looking to start your career in business.
You will:
Allocate and reconcile daily funds and retail cash accounts weekly, including ATM reconciliations and tender accounts. Manage all debtor functions, including account inquiries and overdue account follow-ups. Prepare and send weekly debtors reports for directors. Generate customer statements. Process credit applications, new customer accounts, and credit checks via Creditor Watch. Assist with EOM procedures. Monitor and resolve stock discrepancies, including negative stock and year-end operational stock matching. Set up payroll for new employees and process monthly driver timesheets for retail sites. About you:
Accounting Qualification is desirable but not essential. Proven record in a similar accounts position, or be a recent graduate. Strong communicator, able to build rapport and maintain strong relationships. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and external partners. Inland Petroleum is a rapidly growing family business in Dubbo.
