This role will provide an excellent entry opportunity as a valued and integral part of a successful mining operation.This role, based near Bunbury at our Picton Site, will report directly to the Senior Accountant, assisting in the successful completion of the following duties and roles:Prepare and process journal entriesIdentify and manage monthly prepayments and accruals.Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.Support intercompany balances submissionsPreparation of BAS and FBT workings.Contribute to the short-term cash forecast reporting.Support the annual audit process.Engage in various ad hoc duties and continuous improvement initiatives.Minimum Requirements:Relevant tertiary qualifications, degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business (or equivalent) or studying for a degreeMinimum of 1-year previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with an understanding of accounting principles and standardsProficient in ExcelStrong analytical skills with the ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Positive, can-do attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.Working Conditions:Full Time - Monday to Friday (some scope for part-time / flexible hours)9 day Fortnight – regular RDOFamily Friendly workplaceMinimum C class license and own vehicle requiredSubject to pre-employment medical and drug screenHow to apply:If you think you have the attitude and skills to excel in this role and you want to work within a great team, we want to hear from you!
