Guide Dogs Queensland is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Assets Officer (Administration) to join our proactive Grounds and Maintenance team at our beautiful Bald Hills head office.
This part-time position is available on a 6-month contract and offers flexible scheduling options: either 3 days per week (22.5 hours) or spread across 5 days.
The spread of hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
You will play a crucial role in managing our motor vehicle fleet, facility operations, and asset-related projects.
Reporting to the Assets Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: Obtain and submit quotations for management review.
Code and submit purchase orders and invoices to our Finance team.
Assist with asset projects as directed.
Handle contractor paperwork and maintain records, including manuals and insurance.
Oversee on-site contractors, ensuring safety and compliance.
Adhere to policies for financial and safety record-keeping.
Provide asset information to stakeholders.
Liaise with contractors and internal teams.
Perform grounds maintenance and resolve facility issues as needed.
Assist in the management of fleet vehicles.
About you Our successful Assets Officer (Administration) will demonstrate: Experience in a similar administrative or asset management role.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency across Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and Excel).
Current First aid/CPR qualifications.
Current tetanus immunisation or willingness to obtain.
Hazardous substance handling experience including fuel and chemicals.
A current Open Driver's Licence is essential.
