Grow your career with a global retailer as an Asset Accountant within our Asset Accounting at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month contract position.
As an Asset Accountant, you will be a part of a high performing and results driven team with a focus on process, diligence, and accuracy. To be successful in this role, you will have strong stakeholder management skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and an in-depth working knowledge of accounting principles. A key aspect of this role will see you managing process improvements within the lease accounting space as a subject matter expert.

Key responsibilities: Be the subject matter expert in asset and leasing transactions within the ALDI business. Understand IFRS 16, IAS 18 & IAS 16 and be able to apply these principles to real life transactions. Troubleshoot and investigate any discrepancies by liaising with various stakeholders to reach solutions in a timely manner. Prepare reporting on asset related activities as required by the Team Leader and Executive Manager. Identify and work on continuous process improvement opportunities. Qualifications Demonstrated experience within an asset and lease accounting environment. CA/CPA accreditation or equivalent from other countries or studying towards. Excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills with the ability to engage across different levels of management. Experience in coordinating and managing project tasks and deliverables within Finance. Knowledge of accounting standards and legislation. Experience in SAP is highly desirable.
