Salary: $91,702 - $104,753 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation

The Role Provide assurance and technical advice in support of the Systems Engineering team including Test and Evaluation (T&E), safety, certification and requirements management. This includes:
Review and evaluation that the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) technical materiel meets requirements, legislation and regulatory frameworks. Investigate and report any aspects of the HCF that are non-conformant with either the contracted requirements and where directed, develop risk assessments, recommendations and manage courses of action to address any matters or issues arising. Evaluate and provide advice on the impact to the HCF of current design changes, requirements, technical challenges and design maturity. Evaluate and provide advice on the impact to the HCF of integrating new technologies and capabilities and assist in the development of technical requirements. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
About our Team The Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) will be one of the most advanced warships in the world with cutting edge technology and capabilities. As Australia's largest project, HCF provides the foundation for Continuous Naval Shipbuilding in Australia.
We are working with experts from the UK, USA, Canada and Europe to provide six frigates optimised for anti-submarine warfare to the Royal Australian Navy. The frigates are being constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia utilising the latest production technologies.

Previous experience and strong knowledge of T&E, safety, certification and/or requirements management and the application of these to naval ships. Strong understanding of Systems Engineering management and the impact on the delivery of naval ships. Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering process. Highly capable of analysis techniques, data verification and validation. The ability to review and produce technical documentation and reports.
