Our client is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic program management office for a 12-month contract. This is an hourly rate position within a key government program, offering the opportunity to contribute to the strategic procurement processes of a major initiative.
In this role you will be: Managing end-to-end procurement activities: Overseeing procurement processes, from the initial documentation through to contract management and negotiation.Preparing procurement documentation: Drafting Statements of Requirement, Requests for Quotes, and Evaluation Reports.Supporting evaluation panels: Assisting with the establishment of panels and providing support throughout the evaluation process.Advising on procurement processes: Ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and offering expert advice to BPR staff.Collaboration and stakeholder management: Working with Subject Matter Experts, Legal Advisors, and external Procurement and Probity Advisors to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with program goals.Executive support: Drafting executive briefing papers and approval documents for procurement activities.Financial support: Assisting with budget setting and mid-year financial reviews.Key Requirements: Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and influencing skills.Knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance, and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.Position Details: Contract type: 12-month contract (hourly rate)Location: Flexible working arrangementsWork level: APS6If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with experience in procurement within a government environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting contract role.
