A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.About the roleThe Senior ICT Support officer role is a technical role within the Commissions ICT Support team. The role is responsible for high-level day-to-day support on a national level as well as providing onsite support to the Canberra office (including VIP staff) alongside the Assistant Director – ICT Support.The role is also responsible for the administration and support of the Commission's M365 environment including MS Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.As part of working in our greater ICT team, the role may be required to assist the Cloud Engineering team with their work including packaging and distribution of software to users, as well as testing of new packages or software.Key activitiesThe successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Assistant Director - ICT Support.Key activities of this position include:Provide first and second level ICT support to staff remotely and in person.Designing, deploying and administering Microsoft Teams and SharePoint sites to meet business, security and information management requirements.Assisting with mobile device management, software packaging and deployment through inTune.Assisting in developing and maintaining Windows SOE, as well as managing licensing and distribution.Record and update all incidents and Service Requests in the ICT Service Management Tool and escalate where required.Manage the imaging and deployment of desktop hardware.Create and maintain support materials such as standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles. As well as provide ICT Training where it may be required.Acting as an escalation point for more complex incidents and problems, including logging, escalation and coordination with team members, other IT support areas and service providers to resolve and/or provide workarounds.Assist to manage and develop a small ICT team to deliver effective and efficient ICT support to a national office network.Undertaking and managing procurement activities in relation to ICT software, hardware and services to support end users.Managing small projects as required.The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities.
