$91,702 - $104,753 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Russell - ACT The RoleThe Army Information Management Objective Project Manager will be the primary interface with Army on all Objective remediation system and governance requirements.
They will implement and sustain policy, processes, and procedures to ensure that existing Objective content is migrated to a new folder structure and new content is stored as required.
This includes the application of file retention policies, caveats, and classifications.Contribute to reducing the impact of command and control changes in accessing, protecting and securing information through significant structural remediation.
They will be required to perform and achieve complex records management compliance and assurance activities in an integrated workforce and will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement; therefore, excellent communication skills are essential.
Provide support and advice across Army through reporting, compliance checks, education and training.The role will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
The Project Manager will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
They will provide detailed project management, technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work, as well as contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.The Army Information Management Objective Project Manager will be responsible for the management of Objective Work Group Coordinator access requests; the conduct of internal audits, file sentencing, and other record management activities.
This includes the creation of files and folder structures on both the DPE and DSE, the management of data transfer, and the sustainment of correct information architecture.This role will act as the local help desk for Objective support and issues across Army and investigate and recommend solutions for complex issues.
Provide advice to stakeholders in relation to the life cycle of information and records management activities and relevant legislative and administrative guidance.
They will identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes through information and records management activities in accordance with the Archives Act 1983, relevant legislation and Defence policies and procedures.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

Army Information Management is a small team within the Business ICT Development - Army, and responsible for ensuring Army Information Management policy and procedures are compliant and complied with in the Army.The Army Information Management records team provides advice into broader Defence information and records management policy and frameworks, develops and provides advice on Service level policies, frameworks and practices as information and records management practitioners.Our Ideal CandidateOur Ideal Candidate will: Work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve outcomes in relation to the Objective life cycle of records management activities and relevant legislative and administrative guidance. Build and sustain stakeholder engagement including the ability to communicate with influence and negotiate effectively. Manage information and records management activities in accordance with the Archives Act 1983, relevant legislation and Defence policies and procedures. Work collaboratively by building effective relationships with team members and actively participating in group activities. Review the integrity of information to recommend its suitability for disclosure in accordance with legislative and administrative guidance. Investigate and recommend solutions for complex issues. Develop and implement information and records management policies and procedures to achieve continuous improvement.
