Location: Brisbane, Canberra Position Type: Ongoing | Full-time Salary: $94,563 - $105,909 About the roles Senior Integrity Analyst The Collections, Data and Analysis Team review matters and undertake intelligence actions to support integrity assessments and investigations. The Senior Integrity Analyst will support the Assistant Director, Collections, Data and Analysis in undertaking system audits and analysis, developing intelligence assessments and liaising with appropriate authorities regarding corruption, fraud and misconduct. Senior Integrity Officer The Triage and Integrity Strategy team within the Integrity section is the 'front door' of the Integrity Section. The Senior Integrity Officer will support the Assistant Director to manage the receipt of integrity referrals, conduct an initial assessment and triage of these referrals to determine how they will be managed (including referral as required to partner agencies such as the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The Senior Integrity Officer will be responsible for the creation and updating of integrity governance and policy, facilitating integrity checks and integrity communications and awareness-raising activities. Fraud Control Officer The Fraud Control Officer supports the Integrity Investigation Assistant Director and plays a critical role in the agency's fraud detection and prevention capability. The Fraud Control Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake complex work guided by legislation, policies and procedures. The Fraud Control Officer will be primarily responsible for developing fraud awareness materials, communication strategies and providing advice on fraud controls and risk treatments. Our ideal candidates To be successful in the roles, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes: Senior Integrity Analyst - Collections, Data and Analysis Team Possess contemporary intelligence-based skills, related to the collection, evaluation, and controlled disclosure of information and intelligence Assess and respond to allegations of serious misconduct, fraud and corruption, which may include suspected breaches of the APS Code of Conduct, security breaches, and possible criminal conduct, as required Considers and manages complex risk, providing impartial and reliable advice to team members, partners, and executive based on evidence-based assessment Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, and internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating self-awareness and self-reflection Highly-developed written communication skills with experience writing policies, procedures, risk assessments, briefings and intelligence products Consider and effectively manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and work flexibly in a dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and adhere to the APS Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct Senior Integrity Officer - Triage and Integrity Strategy Team Demonstrated ability to analyse information, distil key issues and exercise sound judgment with respect to the application of legislation and/or policy to the circumstances of the issue being considered Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with team members, and internal and external stakeholders Highly-developed written communication skills. Experience in writing integrity-related case assessments and/or briefings is highly desirable. Experience in writing policies, procedures and risk assessments is also desirable Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction and manage competing priorities. Demonstrated understanding of APS integrity frameworks and requirements (or ability to gain an understanding within a reasonable period of time) Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of integrity policies and procedures, resources, training, and communication, undertaking a collegiate approach to promote improvement Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and adhere to the APS Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct Fraud Control Officer - Integrity Investigations Team Experience in undertaking control and conformance testing against existing agency and Government framework Demonstrated ability to lead assurance and compliance Reporting Understanding of APS integrity frameworks including but not limited to the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Control Framework 2024 Continuously improve the department's Fraud and Compliance Control Testing Framework and supporting policies and procedures Monitor and escalate fraud control issues impacting the department, including areas of non-compliance, to ensure the efficient and effective management of identified issues. Establish robust and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support whole-of-government fraud control and to identify strategies to improve fraud control operations Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and adhere to the APS Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct Eligibility Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, unless otherwise specified. For this position applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a Positive Vetting security clearance.
