Your new role

As an APS6 FOI Officer, you will be responsible for managing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in accordance with the FOI Act 1982.
Your duties will include:
Processing FOI requests and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information.
Preparing and drafting decision letters and other relevant documentation.
Providing advice and guidance on FOI matters to staff and stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate records and managing FOI databases.
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience in managing FOI requests and understanding of the FOI Act 1982.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
