Under limited direction, the EL1 Business Analyst will handle complex tasks in line with government legislation and standards, engaging key internal and external stakeholders to advance organizational goals.
APS6 Business Analyst
The APS6 Business Analyst, working with a higher degree of autonomy, will address complex issues within the agency's policy framework, contributing to strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities: Document and analyze current business processes to establish baseline insights. Drive improvements in business and systems processes through thorough analysis. Support Product Owners with user story elaboration, acceptance criteria, and internal systems. Lead and support transition efforts, including verification testing to ensure solutions align with requirements. Provide program-level analysis and produce relevant documentation. Skills and Expertise: Process Analysis : Skilled in mapping and analyzing current and future state processes. Requirements Gathering : Proficient in managing requirements as Epics and User Stories. Problem-Solving : Ability to address inefficiencies and implement improvements. Testing : Competent in conducting systems testing. Stakeholder Engagement : Skilled in facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams. Risk Management : Proactive in identifying and managing risks. System Thinking : Deep understanding of new systems and processes. Data Analysis : Ability to identify trends and insights. Agile Methodologies : Familiar with Agile and Kanban.
