Comcare's Technology and Information Management (TAIM) team maintains the Information Communication and Technology infrastructure for the department, providing strategic leadership, governance, solutions, and advice for effective information management.
The Cybersecurity & Assurance (C&A) unit within TAIM is responsible for all services related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance, as well as ensuring the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of information, including Cybersecurity and Information Management portfolios.
The Information Management Unit (within TAIM) provides records administration, end-user support, and training for the electronic document records management systems (EDRMS). They also offer information architecture and records management advice and guidance, mail and courier services, and manage physical/paper records in offsite storage.
Overview of the Role The APS6 Digital Records Team Leader manages a small team, providing leadership and guidance to the information management functions. They ensure the delivery of responsive, reliable, and accurate advice and services to Comcare. The duties of the role include leading and managing administrative activities (including forecasting and reporting) and providing legislative advice to support Comcare business activities relating to information management.
The primary focus of this role is to assist in providing best practice insight and aiding in deliberation on governance regarding how records are managed within the department.
The role will be responsible for information architecture activities and records management education/training to Comcare.
Mandatory Qualifications/Experience 3+ years records/information management experience. Experience in the Commonwealth Government setting will be an advantage. Extensive legislative subject matter expertise and knowledge (specifically related to record/information management). Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment Character clearance (police records check). Health clearance. Six months probationary period for new engagements. Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
