$91,702 - $104,753 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Paddington - NSW The Role An opportunity exists at the APS 6 level to provide contract management and procurement support for Army - Forces Command Headquarters and Units.
The successful applicant will be responsible for: Providing contract management support and timely, accurate advice across the procurement life cycle for procurement activities, including supporting procurement planning, preparation of compliant procurement documentation and undertaking evaluation activities.
Promoting compliance with procurement policies, connected policies and legislation, i.e.
Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP), Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act.
Liaising and collaborating regularly with key stakeholders in relation to ongoing and upcoming procurements.
Preparing a range of written materials including various reports, briefs and correspondence to both internal and external stakeholders.
Promoting a client focused culture within the team and the ability to prioritise own workload, meet tight deadlines, display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Performing ad-hoc duties as required.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

Our Ideal Candidate Headquarters Forces Command is seeking a contract management professional with experience in establishing and managing complex contracts, and who possess: Demonstrated problem-solving skills to interpret, recommend and provide advice on complex commercial issues ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies and procedures.
An ability to understand and apply legal principles, legislative and mandatory policy compliance obligations and critical commercial risk and performance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to deliver procurement related documentation including correspondence, reports, plans, strategies, performance reviews, approaches to market, contracts and contract change proposals, and other commercial documentation.
Flexibility and adaptability, and a willingness to lead change initiatives and challenge traditional ways of doing business.
