The Library is seeking to fill an ongoing Applications Developer APS5 role in the Applications Delivery Section of the Digital Branch.
The Applications Developer role is required to undertake work that is moderately complex in nature and be able to work under limited direction.
They will provide their expertise and knowledge for the delivery of:  Activities to support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of web based digital library systems.
The functions of the Section and Branch.
The Applications Developer, Applications Delivery Section role has responsibilities relevant to:  Undertaking day to day software development activities.
Assisting with planning and prioritisation of development work.
Collaborating and combining knowledge with Senior Developers to develop approaches for solving software maintenance and enhancement tasks.
Software programming.
This role will have a sound general knowledge and will provide their technical expertise on complex issues, working across a broad range of activities that potentially relate to the work of different program areas and/or stakeholders.
This may necessitate the effective management of competing allocated priorities and may include activities relevant to working with:  Operational, business and project teams to maintain, fix and enhance web-based library systems.
Business owners and development teams to provide software development advice.
This role liaises with internal and external stakeholder relationships and internal and external networks on operational and administrative matters.
