Comcare has two immediate Non-Ongoing vacancies for APS3 Statutory Oversight Support Officers. A merit pool will be created and may be used to fill future Ongoing and Non-Ongoing vacancies.Overview of the Team and RoleThe Statutory Oversight team within the Legal Group is responsible for providing expert advice on the application of statutory processes to business areas within Comcare and acts as Comcare's liaison with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the Commonwealth Ombudsman. The team is responsible for receiving Public Interest Disclosures (PID) and coordinating PID investigations.Statutory Oversight actively promotes Privacy and develops Comcare-wide privacy training and is responsible for ensuring Privacy Impact Assessments are completed and that Comcare's activities are consistent with the Privacy Act 1999.Statutory Oversight also facilitates administrative access to personal information under the statutory requirements in the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act).ResponsibilitiesThe Statutory Oversight Support Officer is responsible for managing a case load of:Requests for claim information under the SRC Act.Ad-hoc matters and administration tasks to assist the team, Assistant Director, and Director.How to ApplyPlease review the Job Information Pack below and provide a statement of claims with your responses outlining what you could bring to this position including your skills, experience, and knowledge relevant to the job-specific capabilities and role (maximum 2 pages).#J-18808-Ljbffr
