Bell Textron Australia offers a safe workplace with opportunities for training and personal development.About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Redcliffe, Queensland as an Apprentice for Mechanical Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Two (2) full-time, permanent positions are available Monday through Thursday, working 38 hours a week.Duties include:Carry out any general duties such as washing and cleaning aircraft, maintaining consumable levels within the Hangar and yard duties as required.Identify any potential hazards and notify the Head of Maintenance / Maintenance Supervisor.Maintain high standards of discipline, organization, and housekeeping.Ensure daily tasks are completed as directed by LAMEs and Maintenance Supervisor.Ensure assigned tasks are carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.Report facility issues at the time of discovery to the Coordinating LAME or Maintenance Supervisor.Communicate process improvements activities.Clean equipment when required.Assist with Green and Red Tagging, servicing, repairs, and general maintenance to your appropriate skill level.Assist tradesmen as required.Deliver, collect, or relocate equipment.Keep the working area in a clean, safe, and tidy state.Carry out general maintenance and damage repairs to equipment.Ensure a tidy working area, including yard, wash bay, and emptying bins.Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft tasks or components is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.Actively participate in the company WH&S program.Actively participate in the company safety management system.Advise the Coordinating LAME of any defects or issues found when performing assigned tasks.Provide regular feedback to the Coordinating LAME and/or Maintenance Supervisor on the progress of assigned tasks.Demonstrate good judgment and efficiency in the use of company resources.Ensure personal conduct is in line with the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.Applicants should possess the following:Computer literate at a basic level in Microsoft suite.Effective communication including written and verbal skills.Customer-focused.Results-focused.Proactive.Self-motivated.Team player.Exemplary honesty and integrity.Dependable and reliable.Neat personal presentation.Quality and safety-focused with a high level of attention to detail.Join our team at Bell Textron Australia and contribute to maintaining high standards in aviation safety and service.
