WEM is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for an Apprentice Landscape Labourerto join our dynamic team.
Through our partnership with a Registered Training Organisation, you'll undertake a Certificate III in Landscape Construction, combining hands-on, practical experience with formal training to achieve your qualification in landscaping.
We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest, Hunter and Illawarra regions. This role requires travel to job sites across these regions.
Key Responsibilities: Operate small plant and equipment and assist in the installation of hardscape structures (e.g., concrete pavements, retaining walls)Prepare and plant trees, shrubs, and hedges; determine seeding requirements for landscaping and subdivision projectsInstall drainage pipes and fencing, and perform tree removal as required to maintain site integrityMaintain site cleanliness, adhere to statutory requirements, and ensure safe storage and proper use of toolsAccurately log maintenance projects and complete timesheets to ensure timely site upkeep and payroll processingCollaborate effectively with operators, tradespeople, and external stakeholders to achieve project goalsDemonstrate enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within the landscaping divisionWe Are Looking for Someone Who Has: A keen interest in pursuing a career in landscapingA construction white cardA valid drivers licenceCommitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practicesA proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiativeâ¯Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervisionRemuneration: Wage aligned with your experience + allowances + regular overtime + upon successful completion of your probation you are offered a fuel card of $600 per monthTools of the Trade: Access to the latest technology, tools and equipment to perform your work productivelyWellbeing: Access to our Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health & wellbeingFinancial Incentives: Earn up to $1000 per referral through our employee referral programWeather-Proof Workdays: If weather conditions prevent work, you'll receive your base wage for your ordinary hours without limitCommunity Partnerships: Partnerships with community programs including Black Dog Institute and Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation to give back to our communityConnect & Celebrate: Frequent social and team events, and reward and recognition programs that celebrates our peopleGrowth: Endless career opportunities, ongoing training, mentoring & developmentVisit this link to learn more about our culture at WEM!
