This is a fantastic opportunity for a final-year student or recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience and advance their career within a leading global organization.If you have a keen interest in trucks and are eager to apply your engineering expertise to deliver tailored vehicle solutions for customers in Australia and New Zealand, we would love to hear from you!In this role, you will play a key part in providing day-to-day application engineering support to the Mack, UD, and Volvo brand sales teams, as well as our extensive multi-branded dealer network. You will ensure that our products are optimally applied to meet the specific needs of our customers, helping us deliver customized, high-performance solutions across the region.Join us and become part of a forward-thinking, innovative company that values growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.Key responsibilities include:Application engineering and technical support to sales, field and factoryProvide application engineering (best product spec for the job) to sales, internal and externalReview and application approval for customer adaptation requestsProvide vehicle weight distribution and vehicle performance support and trainingBody builder support (specific drawings and technical guidance)Provide guidance and documentation to support non-standard vehicle ratingsCo-ordination of vehicle application and load ratingsCreation and/or review of technical documents (body installation manuals, vehicle specifications etc)Technical sales support representation at sales and marketing eventsWho are you?Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or currently in the process of completing the 3rd or 4th year of studies in these fields.Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus but not required; a strong interest in the field is essential.Proficient in computer skills, with experience in 2D or 3D CAD software being a distinct advantage (though not mandatory).Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong focus on results and a problem-solving approach.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.Highly organised, with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.Collaborative team player, demonstrating a strong work ethic and the ability to contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.What's in it for you?• Comprehensive on-the-job training, coupled with mentorship and continuous guidance, ensuring your professional growth and development.• Work with one of the world's most iconic brands and be part of a reputation that has been earned over a century.• A truly values-based organisation, inclusive workplace culture and passionate people shaping the world we live in.• Industry-leading parental leave and support.• Benefits for applicable staff including access to Sonder (Wellbeing & Safety Partner) for employees and family members, education assistance, Service Awards, income protection, private health insurance, personal computer loans, option to purchase additional leave, additional superannuation.Ready for the next move?If you want to make a real impact in your career, the transportation business is where you want to be.
